Recently an American attempted to correct my spelling when I called them a whinger....Now, I live in Australia a country colonized by the English in 1788. I speak english and spell english in english. You know, english from where it originated from, being England.
Now this person's attempt at correcting me was rather nasty at heart and ill informed and the said person wrote that it was spelt WHINE not WHINGE and that I should know this as I am a "book writer".
So as I could not be bothered correcting the person as the whole saga was becoming ridiculous I have copied this straight from an online Concise Oxford English Dictionary whinge(whinge)

That's why I don't bother to correct the little things like that because I know that I'm wrong in most of them. Americans have butchered the language so badly it's not even funny. The only things I tend to correct are the words with numbers in them or something so completely wrong that a two year old could point it out.
